Tunnelblick is a free, open source graphic user interface for OpenVPN on OS X. It provides easy control of OpenVPN client and/or server connections.
It comes as a ready-to-use application with all necessary binaries and drivers (including OpenVPN, easy-rsa, and tun/tap drivers). No additional installation is necessary — just add your configuration and encryption information.

To use Tunnelblick you need access to a VPN server: your computer is one end of the tunnel and the VPN server is the other end.
First, download the latest disk image from the Downloads page. If you need help deciding between the 'stable' and 'beta' versions, see Stable vs. Note: If you are using an older version of macOS (10.4 - 10.7.4) you should download an older version of Tunnelblick from the Deprecated Downlaods page. Next, verify the download. Navigate to your Downloads folder and double-click the Tunnelblick installation file you have just downloaded (it has a.dmg extension). In the window that opens, double-click on the Tunnelblick icon. A new dialogue box will pop up, asking you if you are sure you want to open the app. You will be asked to enter your Mac password.
